Time Warp: Water Droplet

A water droplet falls as a sphere because of surface tension. That same tension can keep it from breaking and even allow it to bounce off a miniscule layer of air.

Expecting nothing more than the gift of seeing you go about your day,
carrying out your ordinary routine, while I remain unseen....
watching over you, as would an angel of tender compassion.
When night falls, still I would remain, and across your lips,
place the hint of a featherlight kiss to erase your worries....
replacing them with undisturbed peace.

Wishing that somewhere in the realm of dreams and imagination,
you might find a place where both spirit and the physical are allowed to meet,
if only once in a lifetime.... Where you could simply hold me...
and I, of course, would feel it.
