Raavan – a much awaited movie with great start cast and high budject, directed by the great director Mani Ratnam and music composed by the Oscar winner AR Rahaman.
Why Mani Ratnam titled the movie as RAAVAN ?
Being a villain what he wants to project about Raavan, I was so curious about this..
I’ve done some research on Raavana’s character.
Ravana – is popularly known as a famous character as a villain in Hindu historical epic, the Ramayana. He is mostly depicted negatively, who infamously kidnapped Rama's wife Sita.
Yet, I found some interesting points about his gentleman character.
Here it is: Raavan --- on the flip side
Ravana is a Brahmin, a great scholar, a capable ruler, a player of the veena and a devoted follower of Shiva, He possessed a very thorough knowledge in the 4 vedas, and 6 upanishadas, which made him as powerful as 10 scholars. He is said to have possessed the nectar of immortality, which was stored under his navel, thanks to a celestial boon by Brahma.
While often thought of mainly as the infamous 10-headed demon, Ravana was also a notable scholar of the Vedas.
Ravana was aggressive and arrogant, he was also an exemplary scholar. Under Vishrava's tutelage, Ravana mastered the Vedas, the holy books, and also the arts and ways of Kshatriyas (warriors). Ravana was also an excellent veena player and the sign of his flag had a picture of veena on it.
Ravana's having ten heads is that the heads are a symbolic way to show the world about his knowledge. He was fully aware of the contents of the six Shastras. His knowledge of the six Shastras as well as his knowledge of the four Vedas, ten Holy Scriptures in all, is by this interpretation considered the inner meaning of the belief that Ravana had ten heads. He even knew that Ram was Narayana (Lord Vishnu) himself, who had come in human form.
However, since there was no other way for him to reach to Narayana, he had to cultivate wanton wickedness, violence and hatred, and invite Ram to kill him.
Nevertheless Ravana never even touched Sita while she was being held as his hostage. He visited her regularly and asked her consent to marry him. Every time Sita declined, but there is not a single instance when Ravana misbehaved with Sita.
He plays the role of a gentleman to the hilt, only because he was cursed by Kubera's son that he would lose all his 10 heads if he forced himself on any woman.

INTER’NET” -- so fishy … !!!
When I was in my graduation, I was known Internet is just for sending mails and checking the academic results. Now I realized that Internet is Everything and Everywhere. You just name it, you will find !
You can do everything through internet , you can order food, book the tickets, plan you holidays, watching movies, listening to music, games , sports, News, entertainment stuff, web conferences, vides conferences, you can make calls, chat, emails, SMSs , blogging, etc…simultaneously you can do you work . I bet you can do everything without moving your butt at your desk.
Some years ago, there were no much awareness about the internet usage in public. Now its everywhere. You can access even through your mobile phones. To my knowledge Orkut is the first networking site. Where you can communicate with friends , scraps, sharing photos , etc., after that lot of networking sites are in the market like Facebook, Wayn, Twitter, Google’s Buzz,
These days most of the celebrities, sportsmen, politicians contacting with their fans through Twitter, most popular one now. You can’t call each and everybody using your mobile phone to keep in touch. Instead of that just tweet , it reaches to millions of users.
Tweetaholism is –Tweeple or Twerson or Twitterer is Tweeting like anything in the Twitterverse.
Oh.. I am sorry this is not C/C++/JAVA coding, it is just Twitter buzzing words.
Everybody started blogging , they are sharing their daily experiences with Netizens, lot of marketing stuff going on through blogs, Someone like Nithyanada swami is also blogging to attract the people just sake of spirituality.
Assume that you don’t have internet access and mobile phone access for atleast one day. I hope you might feel you lost communication with the world and you are away from the universe.
I donno its for good or bad, but Internet revolution is amazing. Hence Inter’NET’ … So fishy…!!!

Say what you need to say ....
Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations
Say what you need to say ...
Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you'd be better off instead,
If you could only . . .
Say what you need to say ...
Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You'd better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open
Say what you need to say ....
One of favorite tracks from the movie "The Bucket List".

Salutation To The Dawn
Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendour of achievement.
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived makes yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation to the dawn.
For it is life, the very life of life.
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendour of achievement.
